Last week I turned 32.  It used to sound so old to be in your 30's but now it just seems like a number.  Another year of joy I get to spend with my family and friends.

Since this sweet little baby in my tummy has me doing a lot resting we decided to stay in on my big day.  I went to dinner with some girls the night before and half way through the meal I was having so many contractions that I had to get out of their as quick as possible.  Thankful that as long as I lay down and keep drinking water that the contractions stop.

So, Corey and the kids spent the day making me cupcakes, taco soup and working on some homemade cards while I got to watch movies and relax (pretty awesome... I know!).  Will & Gracie were so proud to show me the cards they made.  Here is Will's... very thoughtful (he drew a picture for me on the inside, daddy did the writing of course!).

And then, Gracie walked in with her creation and it took all I had not to laugh!

It was so sweet and she was so proud!  I hope I never forget the look on her face when she presented it to me with such pride and pure innocence.  She also had help from her dad but when he walked away to take a call her creativeness took over and she made her master piece.  As he was walking back into the room she was crumbling it up into a ball and said... "all done"!  I love it Gracie and I hope you always feel confidence in yourself like you did that day!

Corey also out did himself this year on my gift and got the second edition of my blog published.  It was a lot of work because there is not a company that publishes Mac blogs so he had to cut and paste and then mail it to a publishing company to be made into a book.  It is awesome.  So fancy and even nicer than the first.  I absolutely love it!  And watching my kids look through the pages (almost 300 of them) and laugh at the pictures and then listen to the stories was amazing.  It was all I needed to get motivated to start blogging again.  This is the history I will share with my kids and grandkids one day!

So, in case you are curious about the title of my blog, "Welcome 2 our World" now you know what I was thinking when I came up with it 6 years ago.  There is nothing more important than daily welcoming Jesus Christ into my world and into the world of my children because after all this is His world and nothing else matters without Him.

Baby Trevathan (#3)

When I left blogger I was pregnant with Gracie.  I think it is pretty funny that I'm returning when I'm pregnant again!  My due date is April 10th.  So in case, you haven't heard or seen a picture of the newest Trevathan.. here you go...

I think it's a girl, which if you know me or anything about my mother's intuition when it comes to this you know it is probably a boy!  I always get it wrong!

These pictures were taken last Monday.  I am 27 weeks pregnant and wish I was feeling a little better than I have been.   I had a positive fFN test on Monday (of last week) which means I'm on modified bed rest for now until I'm feeling better.  The rest seems to be working so I'm hoping I won't be in bed for the rest of the pregnancy.

Hello Blogger...

Well, after 3 years I'm coming back to Blogger.  I've been using Mac's version for awhile for my blog and it has been good to me.  The one drawback to Mac's version was publishing my blog into a book.  It was not a fun job for my awesome husband who had to cut and past 3 years worth of posts and then send it to a publishing company who then charged him a small fortune!  What can I say, I married an amazing man who went to great lengths to preserve my memories.  I'm very blessed and my newest archive/book is amazing!  (I will share pictures soon.)

Blogger, while a little more basic, will be just what I need as I simplify this year and try to get back to blogging more regularly.  I'm looking forward to a fresh start (even though I'm using my old account... what can I say... it was just easier that way!).  So today I say "hello Blogger" as I open a new chapter to blogging.

I have decided to branch out and try something new. I have been begging my very creative husband to help me with updating my blog because I have gotten a little board with the polka dots. After much discussion, aka, me driving him crazy! He came home with this new iweb, mac blogging thing that seems really cool. So check it out and let me know what you think. Spring Fever

Wasn't it just the other day when we were all playing outside and enjoying the beautiful sunshine? Today we look outside and see snowcapped roofs across the neighborhood. It is freezing outside and I am trying to figure out how to explain to an 18 month old boy that just because we played outside yesterday doesn't mean that the weather is warm enough to go out today. Help!!!

6 - 18 Months

We are 6 months pregnant!

I went to the doctor today and everything looked great! I have gained 16 pounds... yikes!!! The babies heart rate was in the 140's and my tummy measured 26 weeks (I am about 25 1/2 weeks pregnant) so everything seems very normal. I told the doctor that I have had two dreams about this baby. The first was that it was a girl and she was 6 lbs. It was so easy to give birth to her that I ran out and bought pink pacys and bows and then went back to the hospital for recovery. More recently, I dreamed that it was a boy and he weighed in at a whopping 10lbs. 4 oz! I was so stunned by the sheer size of him when they handed him to me that I wasn't even shocked by the actual weight. So, your guess is as good as mine on what this baby will be. Corey and I are both leaning towards it being a boy because I seem to be carrying the exact same way as last time and everything else seems to be the same. Who knows?!

Will is 18 months old!




Will loves his new climber! We were looking for one for the summer and hoping to buy one second hand since they are so very expensive. So we did a little research online and found a family that was moving and had only had it for a year. As soon as Corey got it put together Will new just what to do. He ran to the stairs and climbed right up without any help and slid down the slide. After his first time he seemed a little more nervous about the slide and wanted help but besides that you would think he had been playing on it forever. It has room underneath for a sandbox so when it gets a little warmer we will have to add that for more fun. Corey told Will this was a really early birthday present but, I am thinking maybe a half birthday present? (Not that we want to start that tradition! : )) None the less, I am really hoping this will entertain Will during the summer for many hours so that I will have a little time to be with the new baby.

Friday at 1pm we took the plunge. We entered the hair salon just a few minutes late. Sat Will in that big chair and let the cutting begin! Joy, my hair stylist, was so sweet with him. He was really nervous about the whole thing.


When she wet his hair he started to get upset but we put the pasy in and all was okay.


He held onto our finger the whole time.

When we walked out of the salon the first thing Corey said was, "It's a boy", in case anyone had been wondering!! I really do like the big boy look he has now but I will always miss those curls a little. We took Will to get ice cream afterwards for being such a big boy. It was a good family day!


As you can see, he is proud of his new look too!

I am really sad but I think it may be time for them to go... Corey has had about all that he can handle. He complains that not only do I dress Will in cute little smocked outfits with knee socks but I am also letting his hair grow out to look like a girls. When I got my hair done last week I was talking to my stylist about it and she urged me to take the plunge. When she heard that he was almost 18 months old and had never had a haircut she was convinced. You have to understand why I have waited so long. He did not have much or any hair for so long that I have really loved him having a little plus, I think longer hair on little boys is cute. His hair is starting to look a little frizzy at times and I am not always sure how to fix it so I guess it is time. What do you think? I made an appt. for tomorrow. Should they stay? Should they go??

Happy to be Home

I caught another virus this weekend and had to spend two nights in the hospital! It is crazy to me that I taught school for 4 years and never caught a virus but have caught two in the last two months while being at home. : ) I am wondering does your immune system weaken after you quit teaching? Thank goodness Will has not been sick this winter other that a few colds. As you can see above, I am so happy to be home. I really missed my sleepy little boy!

New Baby

So here are some pictures of the "New Baby" which is what it will be called until it is born since we didn't find out what we are having. We are 22 weeks this week! The pictures are not as good as they might have been because the baby was in a weird position. I wonder if this baby will be shy? Dr. Conrad elevated my feet above my head to try to make it move around. It was like being on a Six Flags ride! I held on to the table so tight because I was afraid that I might slide right off! We are so excited to meet this little one in a few months.

Trees & Trains

We planted our Christmas tree in the yard a week or so ago and I wanted to share a picture of Will with it. This will be his tree to mark his first Christmas even though technically it is his second. We went to the tree farm too late to do it last year.

We had fun at Jaxon's 2nd birthday party last weekend! He had a train themed party. Will loves those "choo,choo's"!

As you can see, he perked up when he saw the cake in front of him. I am so proud of how good he is doing with a fork/spoon lately. We have really been working on it. (I am hoping he will be able to feed himself completely when the new baby comes.) Look for ultrasound pictures of the new baby soon...

Maybe My Best Birthday Yet...

We celebrated what may have been my favorite birthday last weekend. The big 2-9! The older I get the less I seem to care about how old I am. Maybe it's because half of the time I can't even remember how old I am!

We started the celebration by cleaning out the garage. I know what you are thinking but don't forget that I am pregnant and have already started nesting. What more could a pregnant woman want than a clean garage?? (Also, remember: We just cleaned out our guest room for Will so guess where all of that stuff ended up last month.) Then Corey's dad babysat for us while we went to dinner and a movie. (Thanks Mark!) We had so much fun getting to have dinner AND go to a movie all in one night!

On Saturday, which is my actual birthday, Corey and Will worked on making me a cake and ran some errands for me. I actually had the morning to get a little extra sleep. I was pretty lazy all day. That night a family from our youth group volunteered to babysit Will and also gave us a gift card to eat at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. (If you are reading this - Thanks again! It was awesome!) We had a great time and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Very fancy!! When we got home we had cake and opened presents.

So if you ask me I think this weekend was pretty close to perfect. I am so blessed to have such a great husband that worked hard to give me a great weekend. Here are a few pictures from the celebration.

The finished cake. Two layers of chocolate cake with white icing - my favorite! Didn't Corey do good decorating the cake? He spent a lot of time making it just right. Including sorting out the right color heart sprinkles so it would all match. If you are wondering why Ali -that's how I sign my name to him sometimes.

Christmas Memories

We hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season! We really enjoyed ours with Will this year. I was a little sad to see all of the Ho, Ho's (as Will would say) get packed up because of all of the joy they brought us this year. Next year will be double the fun with the newest Trevathan joining us. So much to look forward to! Here are a few pictures from all of our Christmas celebrations. This is really long so you will have to bear with me or check back later. : )



We had fun at the Culverhouse Christmas this year. We were so happy we celebrated early this year since Granddaddy passed on to be with his Maker right before Christmas. We are all missing him so much. If you are wondering why I am wearing balloons on my head remember what I mentioned in a previous post about Corey's uncle being a clown and all the fun we have with the family every year.





We had a great time at my mom's for Christmas this year. Will had fun helping his Grammy open his presents from him.





I think Will had about a dozen cookies at my dad's house! He also loved his 4 wheeler that his Grandpa Penny got him! It was so funny to see him ride on it for the first time. He pushes a button to make it go but, every time he would push it he would look behind him to see who was making it go.







Christmas with Corey's family was really nice this year. The boys had so much fun playing together. Will loved all his "choo's, choo's" and his "car" that Nana and Papa got for him.



So Santa may have went a little overboard this year on Will. He got his very own big boy room! Santa's helpers had a lot of fun helping him with this project.



Santa put all of Will's toys under his tree in his new room. It was fun playing in there all morning.



We read this monkey book all day long to Will. We finally hid it for awhile so that he would play with his toys. It made his mom, the teacher really proud! : )



He also loved his "bubbles" (fish) that we gave him. I wish I had time to put the video on of him playing with it. He just laid in front of it and kicked his legs and pointed to each of the fish as they passed by.

As you can see we had a wonderful holiday. Sorry for so many pictures but I haven't blogged in so long that there was a lot to catch up on. Happy New Year everyone!

Happy Holidays!

We are really enjoying this holiday season! I am finally feeling better and starting to get excited about this new baby. We are working on Will taking just one nap a day instead of two and Corey is busy decorating Will's big-boy room he is getting for Christmas.

Will has learned how to climb the ladder. We looked over and he was already up 2 steps!! You may be noticing our tree looks a little odd. We usually cut one down from a Christmas tree farm but this year we had them dig one up for us that we can plant in our back yard after Christmas. It has been an adventure figuring out how to cover it and keep it watered!


Corey let him go to the top of the ladder to help decorate the tree.




It's official, no more squeezing into my normal pants. The doctor said that I had a growth spurt this month! I would have to agree!


We forgot to put the angel on the tree the day we decorated so we had to do it later.


We were trying to get a cute Christmas picture with Will's little tree that has his ornaments on it. He kept pulling them off. His favorite is his pacy ornament from last year. It is his first pacy that I wrote the year on.


He loves the the song Up On The Housetop. We were singing it for him while he danced and said "Ho, Ho, Ho".


Silly Will!

Happy Birthday Granddaddy and Granny!

This past weekend Corey's mom's side of the family got together to celebrate Granddaddy & Granny's 70th birthdays. They are both such precious people that love all of their kids, grandkids and great-grandkids so much. Anytime that you are visiting there house you are guaranteed to not be alone. It is a house filled with joy and laughter from the children that pass through on any given day.

Holidays are a lot of fun there for many reasons. One is because Corey's Uncle Benny is a children's minister and enjoys doing clown shows on the side. He always has some kind of funny show prepared for us at Christmas that usually includes a costume, possibly animals and maybe even a guitar. It is always so funny! And if you can image there are 9 "little kids" running around sneaking cookies, opening presents and taking turns sitting with Granny. It is a day that we all look forward to every year.

Here are a few pictures of the family this past Saturday. They love to play outside at Granny's because there are so many toys it is like being at a park. I was sad that I could not be there this time because of lingering morning sickness but I am looking forward to trying to make the trip in a few weeks for Christmas.
